Carmen,

I spoke to **** today regarding the dealing he and his mother had with Atkinson & Grieve.   **** said he was present during all of the meetings and any conversations that his mother had with Atkinson & Grieve.

When it came to the document involving the donation of the 5% to the OPFFA, **** said he could not remember the part about having the donation go through the lawyer that Atkinson recommended.

If Atkinson and Grieve have recommended that the WSIB claimants use a certain lawyer or financial advisor and they agree to do so, then I still don’t see anything criminally wrong at this stage….

John

Subject: RE: OPFFA Payments for Occ. Disease

Carmen,

As I have stated previously, if these apparent victims have given money to Atkinson or Grieve because they were talked into using the lawyer (para-legal) or the financial advisor that they recommended then there is no criminal offence …

Thanks

John

Re: Complaint of alleged theft and fraud committed by former OPFFA members Grieve and Atkinson.

Carmen,

……….The interviews we conducted and information we obtained during our initial scoping exercise related to your complaint did not reveal sufficient information at that time to warrant a criminal investigation…..

If you would like to discuss this matter further please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you
